Privacy Policy

This site is operated by Michelle Morgan ("The Nerdy CPA," "we," "our"). This policy explains what information we collect when you use thenerdycpa.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect only what's needed to run your booking, we don't run ads or trackers, and we never sell your information.

What we collect

When you book a session, we collect the information you enter:

• Your name and email address
• Your phone number and session notes, if you choose to provide them
• The session type, date, and time you select

We do not use analytics trackers, advertising pixels, or marketing cookies on this site. The public booking page sets no cookies at all.

Payments

Paid sessions are processed by Stripe. Your card number is entered on Stripe's secure checkout page and never touches our servers — we receive only a confirmation that payment succeeded, along with the email address you used at checkout. Stripe's own privacy policy governs the payment information you provide to them.

How we use your information

• To schedule, confirm, deliver, and (when needed) reschedule or cancel your sessions
• To send booking confirmations, calendar invites, and session-related emails
• To prepare for your session using the notes you provide
• To meet legal, accounting, and tax record-keeping obligations

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes — ever. We don't send marketing email unless you separately ask for it.

Session recordings

Paid sessions include a recording as part of the service, made through the video platform used for your session (Zoom or Microsoft Teams). Recordings are shared with you and kept for our records of the engagement. If you prefer not to be recorded, say so at the start of your session.

Where your data lives

Booking records are stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure in the United States. Transactional email (confirmations and calendar invites) is delivered through our email provider. Each provider processes your data only to provide their service to us.

Retention

We keep booking records for as long as needed to provide services and to satisfy legal, tax, and accounting requirements (generally up to seven years for records connected to a paid engagement). If your booking never resulted in a paid engagement, you can ask us to delete it at any time.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to see the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it (subject to records we're legally required to keep). Email info@nerdygirlaccounting.com and we'll respond within 30 days.

Children

This site offers professional services for business owners and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
